Former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff, singer Brandy and UK journalist Piers Morgan have been named judges on Simon Cowell's latest TV show.

America's 'Got Talent' will feature singers, dancers, comedians and other entertainers, all vying for a $1m (£532,765) prize.

The programme will be shown in the US on the NBC network in June.

"We have three judges from three very different backgrounds. Expect the unexpected," said Cowell.

Cowell, best known to US audiences for his role as a judge on American Idol, will not be appearing as a judge on the new show himself.
The programme will be hosted by veteran TV host, Regis Philbin.

David Hasselhoff found fame as an actor and producer on 'Baywatch' and has also established a singing career.

Brandy's chart hits include her duet with Monica, 'The Boy Is Mine', and a cover of Phil Collins' 'Another Day In Paradise'.
Piers Morgan has made a foray into television in the UK, hosting programmes such as 'The Importance of Being Famous' and 'The Death of Celebrity' for Channel 4 and E4 respectively. He also interviewed Cowell on the BBC's 'Tabloid Tales'.

Auditions for America's Got Talent have been held in cities including Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta.

He has announced plans to make a similar show for ITV, saying it would resemble the 1970s US talent programme 'The Gong Show'.
