Cult TV star David Hasselhoff has signed up to become the new face of Pipex after being named the 'King Of The Internet' in a new poll.
The Baywatch and Knight Rider actor beat the likes of Brad Pitt and Robbie Williams to be named as the male star most likely to feature in emails, according a new survey of 16-24 year olds commissioned by Pipex.
According to the poll, 30% of young people email 'The Hoff' to friends, family and colleagues, while he was also named as the cult star most searched for on the net, above Arnold Schwarzenneger, Michael J Fox and 'A-Team' actor Mr T.
And Pipex, which now has more than one million customers in the UK, announced on Wednesday that 'The Hoff' has signed up to become the face of a new advertising campaign for 2006/7
The campaign will highlight a new broadband and home phone calls package available across the UK with the slogan "Powered by Pipex".
David Hasselhoff said:
