British rockers The Automatic have an unusual request on their backstage rider - they insist concert venues build a shrine to David Hasselhoff in their dressing room.

The group, who recently scored a massive UK hit with their song "Monster", are huge fans of the Baywatch actor.

Frontman Robin Hawkins explains,

"We ask for a shrine to David Hasselhoff in our rider and people are taking us seriously.
"I would like to meet him and tell him he is a role model for us and to look after himself.
"Bristol Academy (in England) did a fantastic job on the Hoff front. They draped a leopard skin over a table and had action men posters on the wall. It was really impressive."
