We here at Love the Hoff know that The Hoff has done some pretty amazing things, but now even the Hoff himself thinks he has been undervalued as this exclusively gleaned report from the BBC shows .

Baywatch star David Hasselhoff is griping that his role in reuniting East and West Germany has been overlooked. So what part, if any, did the hunk in trunks play in ending the Cold War?

Barely a month after the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989, the city that had been divided by politics for more than 40 years was united in song.

And leading the chorus of several hundred thousand voices was a man hitherto known to the rest of the world for driving a talking car.

David Hasselhoff, star of the hit 80s TV series Knight Rider, is renowned in celebrity-obsessed circles for being Big In Germany; not only as an actor, but as a purveyor of soft rock anthems.

For that seminal concert, on New Year's Eve 1989, Hasselhoff stood atop of the partly-demolished wall and belted out a tune called Looking for Freedom.

It was during Hasselhoff's current promotional tour of Germany that the Hollywood star made headlines for a remark about this event.

VOOM TV produce shocking 007 spoof promo video starring David Hasseloff

During June FILMFEST HD, one of the VOOM HD Networks, will begin a month-long Bond-fest showing high-definition world premieres of 17 classic James Bond flicks.

While the very thought of seeing so many Bond movies in High Definition ought to send orgasmic shivers of delight through the remote controls of any James Bond devotee, the news gets even better. The movies will be uncut and commercial-free.

To add an element of the bizarre, David Hasselhoff will serve as the on-air host.

The former Knight Rider and Baywatch star will introduce the movies, and VOOM have splashed out to produce a special promotional music video featuring the German-born singer/actor performing a 'rendition' of the spoof song "Secret Agent Man".

David Hasselhoff Dismissed From 'Knight Rider' Movie?

Actor David Hasselhoff has apparently tod producers the upcoming film version of 'Knight Rider' to 'Fuck Off!' even after they pleaded with the show's creator to take a part in the adaptation, according to a published report.

The former 'Baywatch' star, who played the role of hero Michael Knight in the 1980s TV show, claimed in 2001 that he was "excited" and "working hard" with Glen Larson to get the series to the big-screen.

But according to TV Network E!, the actor took his name off a press release announcing Larson struck a film deal with Miramax's Harvey and Bob Weinstein.

"They're all big girls in skirts", said the multimedia legend, "especially that 'Nob Larshole', he can kiss my ring".

Earlier reports that The Hoff was excluded from the movie, even though he 'pleaded to be involved, even as a bench warmer', are obviously a crock, probably created by that imposter, Chuck Norris who's always been jealous of David's success in Germany.
